Our Tahltan Knowledge Keepers
Who
we are
We have been observing and talking about our environment since time immemorial. All of our knowledge is an invaluable source of information about the history of our people, our natural environment, our plants and our animals. This traditional knowledge and our language is a cultural treasure for us to pass on to each new generation.
One way that we share with spoken word and with written word is through our Tahltan Knowledge Keepers Publishing House.

As an Elder and Knowledge Keeper, you are not a self-taught individual. You have been gifted with your respective teachings by other Elders or Knowledge Keepers, typically over years of mentorship and teaching. Because of this, you play a central role in the community. You are a teacher within and beyond the community. It is a gift for you to share. As is your own story.
And as Elder and Knowledge Keeper, you can share your teachings with the spoken word, the written word, and even with video. Our Story Warriors — the youth of our community — can both learn from you and help you preserve your teachings and stories.
We invite you to share with the future generations your knowledge with:
